Super 8 Film Workshop BUNT AUF ACHT!
The dresdner schmalfilmtage will be colorful! After a lot of black and white filmmaking in the last few years, we dare to use color in 2025 and invite Malte Bartels. Malte Bartels is a chemist and filmmaker. In his films, he experiments with negative and positive images, with the effect of color and shades of grey in contrast to each other. He gets all this out of conventional color reversal film, Kodak Ektachrome. In the two-day workshop, he will show us the process of turning an exposed color film into both color and black and white images - using means that do not require a professional laboratory. We will also get an introduction to filming with Super 8, from handling the camera and filming to opening and developing Super 8 cassettes.
The course is aimed at people who are either new to Super 8 or old hands who already have some experience.
