This "gangster spectacle of gangs, brides, and bedroom boycotts" is based on the opera libretto of the same name by Boris Vian from the 1950s. Vian shifted the battleground of ancient Troy to the criminal underworld of 1920s Milan.

The original 8mm version disappeared with the end of the GDR, but the "Bread Birds" recreated the work on 16mm. Experience this reimagined silent film brought to life with a live musical score performed by The Lilly Strada Group.
