Children's Film Workshop: CRANK, MARVEL, DO IT YOURSELF — THE SCHMALFILM WORKSHOP FOR KIDS Saturday, March 14, 2:00–4:00 PM, Dachsaal at the Kultur Forum, Wachsbleichstraße 4a (Frontyard), 01067 Dresden

Instructor: Jana Endruschat & Frank Sperling

In this two-part workshop, children immerse themselves in the world of analog cinema and discover in a playful way how moving images are created. In the creative part, the kids use the “magic drum” to bring their own drawings on strips of paper to life and transform them into short films. In the technical part, the kids can learn about narrow-gauge film technology, try out historical cameras for themselves, and experience what it feels like to work as a film projectionist. Incidentally, it doesn't matter whether the focus is on both parts of the workshop or just one.

Age Recommendation: 5–13 years
Cost: on a donation basis
