Film Restored — the Berlin Film Heritage Festival 2025 celebrated its 10th anniversary under the motto “Action.” Dr. Elisa Jochum and her colleague Anke Hahn from the Deutsche Kinemathek/Berlin give us insights into this special festival and the film treasures that were rediscovered and presented at the anniversary celebration. Every year, the festival shows restored films on changing themes from different countries, eras, and contexts. It is accompanied by discussions, workshop talks, and lectures that shed light on historical films and show what they have to say to us today.
