When there were only three channels on television and streaming, Blueray and VHS were unthinkable, cine-film flourished in the living room at home. There were ‘homemade films to watch, but also films for sale - from B-movies to Hollywood productions. However, film material was expensive, so full-length blockbusters had to be shortened to 15-minute films, without compromising the story. Film collector Joachim Schmidt recounts this art of shortening. The finest trash on Super8 and open air!
