OPENING & COUNTRY FOCUS: CZECH I (in coop. with Elbe Dock) - CURRENT CZECH PRODUCTIONS Thursday 16 September 2021, 6.00 pm, Motorenhalle

In the Czech Republic, especially young filmmakers currently use analogue film. Often, these films are produced as part of their studies at a film or art school.

The film curator Radka Hoffmanová works at the Elbe Dock festival, among others, and presents some of these productions and filmmakers. Among them are a collaged portrait of the Ústí nad Labem region, the film "Voyage" about a driver who smuggles refugees across a border, but also films about childhood, youth and ways of growing older.
