Quebec, on the threshold of the 1960s. Something big is brewing. You can see it, hear it and feel it when it comes around the corner - a silent revolution that will last until the 1970s. With "The Devil's Share", Luc Bourdon invites us to observe these events with dedication and to attentively watch and listen to his passionate, lyrical statement on this momentous decade. For this purpose, the filmmaker immersed himself in the Canadian film archive (NFB) and artfully selected and rearranged individual sequences from 200 films. The film deals with several important social issues of the time, such as women's rights, rural migration, the October Crisis of 1970, environmental awareness, the secularization of education and the rise of Quebec nationalism.
