S8/16 – The Contest
Screening and award - Saturday 27.01. 21.00
Around 400 Guest were present at the time the contest of this years 8th Dresdner
Schmalfilmtage began. Although the audience showed great acknowledgement
for the contesting films, both the jury and the audience awarded the Film
“Chère N.” of the 22 years old Lebanese Chantal Partamian as this years winner
of the contest. The price she won consists of 400 EUR in cash donated by
ORWO – FilmoTec GmbH and vouchers in value of 300 EUR from Wittner Cinetec
company. The jury patronage price donated by the film scan company Screenshot
was awarded to the Film ”Venusfalle” (Venus Trap) by Joachim Trunk and Marco
Avella. In addition the jury in particular singled out the film “Troymotion”
of the Canadian Justin Lovell for praise. On rang two of the audience choice
(without price) landed the music video clip “Cold Cream”.
