You Only See Twice IThursday 24th January 2013, 20.30
Parallel image worlds, film within film, splitscreen, mirrorings, double- and multi-projections – when an image plays with the image, new narrative spaces arise. Which one is reference point, which one satellite, which one reality, which one dream? In the international programme 'You Only See Twice I' (part II: Sa, 19:00) the Oscar awarded artist Zbigniew Rybczynski interlaces different places and times to detective-like stories. Karolina Sobecka arranges a race with famous cartoon characters through American cities. Shelly Silver documents people on the border between intimacy and public.
The artist Svea Duwe from Dresden depicts the fear of the 'wonder'land behind the mirror. Rosa Barba spacialises writing in the Mouse-On-Mars Clip 'Wipe That Sound.
