CZECH UNDERGROUND - BULŠITFILMFriday 23 March 2019 10.30 pm

In 1983 the director Pavel Marek and the cameraman Roman Vcelák met during a hospital stay and immediately founded the unofficial and soon legendary label Bulšitfilm. A film company which for obvious reasons should not have existed under a socialist regime. The films were often based on dream sequences and some were accompanied by live music. Pavel Marek said in an interview that her first film "Kesselhaus" was the very best of the group. His only copy disappeared mysteriously after the first performance. Bulšitfilm dissolved in 1993 after the death of Roman Vcelák. The label produced thirteen films. Films from the years 1987-93 are shown at this years festival.
