We are saddened to announce the passing of two long-standing members of our team at the dresdner schmalfilmtage Festival. Gökçen Fındıkçı and Frank Sperling passed away within a short period of time. We have never before had to endure such a loss. Gökçen Fındıkçı was always full of interesting ideas about films. She curated and presented numerous film programmes and was involved in the competitions. Frank Sperling built up a large collection of analogue films and was a regular contributor to the children's programmes at the festival for many years. At the 28th dresdner schmalfilmtage Festival, which will take place from 14 to 17 January 2027, we will dedicate a programme and a memorial space to them.
