Food has always been an important issue for the fine arts, which can also be found in films: with a symbolic meaning besides sex and violence as a metaphor of human addictions, obsessions and desires, as well as a symbol and mirror of different societies and epochs in comedy and drama.
The discourse about food has become more and more accepted as main issue in the world of cinema. Incorporating these tendencies of interest in food, the dresdner schmalfilmtage are going to present works, showing how different food in different forms can contribute to the development of any substandard film in many ways.
The film by Robert Nelson will be presented by the Short Film Festival Oberhausen.
